BLESSINGS TO THOSE UNDERSTANDING THE JOY OF PRAISING HIM,

The year was 1974, and in the fall I walked into my first class with Professor

McDonough who some later just called T.J.

The course was Contracts and Prof. M. warned us from the start the answers would not be found in him, he actually said you will probably learn more from your fellow students.

It wasn't clear to many years later that his main purpose was to challenge us and question every thought we had, not to help us to learn the law, but instead to decide whether we were going to be able to advocate a cause. I settled down to a nervous wired student once I could see that this drill sergeant could yell at us and make us sound silly, but he was testing us to see if we were willing to stand for something.

We have all been called to the front battle line not to defeat our opponent with anger and hate, but to speak the Truth in Love that some may be won to Christ.
