I'll give you a little insight into my present walking ability.  I have two knees that are failing and on July 18th, I have a surgery set to do a right total knee joint replacement.  I have a staff that my wife calls Moses that helps to keep me from falling.  

One gift in all of this is that I seem to have a greater sensitivity to level.  I mean I can tell when the ground slopes just a little bit upperward or downward.

Upward is fine because I shift a little forward leaning, but downward slope is painful and soon sets off bells for danger in falling.

We have all been called to walk on the level making sure our yes is yes and our no is no.
