BLESSINGS TO THOSE HAVING JOY IN THE EXHILARATING WATERS,
It was more than 20 years ago as our family of four got out to hike a mountain road. The way I remember it, the road was dry and dusty as cars drove by. We came to a parking lot and realized we could have driven further to start the climb up the three mile trail to the WATERFALL.
There was some complaining about why do we have to do this, and why couldn't we have gone to the city and be cool in a pool.
The hike became more difficult and the mid afternoon heat was drying our mouths and we didn't have any water, and I personally thought maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Around a couple more bends as we hiked on, we could hear the rushing of the waters tumbling down the waterfall and many people laughing.
There it was the 10-11 foot waterfall and people were in the stream splashing.
The rest of my family were satisfied with splashing the water on each other, but I was so hot and dry I just couldn't resist. I climbed right in front of the falls and stepped into the rushing waterfall. I let out a loud scream of joy and surprise at how cold and exhilarating the waterfall was.
