In the latter part of the 1960s, we country boys around Early and Nemaha decided that the name of our rock band would be called Natures Sons.  I purposely left out the apostrophe in Natures since we didn't want to claim we were a possession of Nature, but that we lived in nature.

It was a time of working together to fine tune our songs, and even learn a little about getting along, although we were all friends.  Neal, Don and I started the first group, and later it was Neal, Darrel, David and I with Randy the organist being the last to join.  We also had Bob and my cousin, Randy doing the light show which meant switching lights on and off fast.

In those early years like many we looked up at the beautiful evening sky filled with stars, and also enjoyed the pouring rain.  

This article popped up on my screen this morning, and I thought it might be of some help wherever we are found on the Journey:

 Here's a song we played as Natures Sons and I guess I sang the second verse wrong all those years since I sang, “Babylon plans a new dream, wrapped in golden chains…”  The last verse, I sang, ” Birds been singing of Maidens a thousand years or more..”
