BLESSINGS TO THOSE PUTTING CHRIST BEFORE ALL OTHERS,
My father-in-law found this Bible verse back in the 90s, and asked me how could anyone serve a God that asks us to hate our family?
“If anyone comes to me and
does not hate father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot
be my disciple. Luke 14:26 NIV
If we are to honor our father & mother ( Exodus 20:12), and if we are to love one another (34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”…John 13″34-35) , and yes even love your enemies (44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven Matt. 5:44-45), and even hate our own life ( “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? Mark 8:34-36). Then what is Yeshua (Jesus) talking about?
