BLESSINGS TO THOSE RELYING ON THE ALMIGHTY,
It appears that the spirit of fear is something most of us will experience sometime in our lives. From my personal experience,
Fear can make us feel immobile and not wanting to take a step in any
direction.
6For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 8So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.…2 Timothy 1:6-7
“God is not timid, cowardly, shy, fearful, afraid, nervous or worried about anything and because you have the Spirit of God living inside of you, neither should you. “
As believers there is this internal struggle happening, and Timothy was experiencing the same thing. If we focus on our abilities or the potential threat that can come from doing God’s work, then fear or timidity will arise. However, if we are constantly being filled with the Spirit of God (Ephesians 5:18) then The Almighty will help us overcome the spirit of fear.
