BLESSINGS TO THOSE THAT LEAVE SELFISHNESS BEHIND,
There are people we meet on our journey through this world that appear to be running a Good Race far ahead of us. Such a person was my Uncle Dwain.
I had been told that when he was young he was considered kind of a hood around Galva, but all I can tell you is when I started to know Uncle Dwain I saw a person that was living what is commanded in Phil. 2:3:

Dwain showed love to all and always put the interests and needs of others before himself. Although he was not a rich man in worldly goods, he was always quick on the draw to pay for food and items bought for others. It became a saying, “playing Dwain” when someone wanted to be the one that paid for all.
There was no one that I ever saw that was not treated better by Dwain, and he even did his best to be friendly to his foreman at Hygrade that always seemed a distant foreman to me.
Dwain was there to encourage all his family, friends and neighbors and had no trouble stooping down to give a little one a boost or a word of assurance when one needed to get back on track. Guess you could say Dwain was preaching The Gospel everyday without saying a word.
