If we have been in the Church for any length of time, we have heard about the Pharisee's love of being seen and the traditions of men placed before the worship of The Most High.

So when I heard the Preacher explaining Act 15 this morning, and the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem discussing what is required of gentiles joining the Faith the details were of more interest this morning.  The Pastor accurately pointed out that for most of us how we worship is tied to experiences we have learned through parents and various church practices.

So I thought I was on the same page when the Pastor said, “Beware of the Pharisee.”

Not even close.  The Pastor reminded us that in each one of us there is a Pharisee that believes that things should be done our way, and we are often too closed hearted to hear the thoughts of other Believers who also have received the Holy Spirit.
