Maybe sometimes when we see The Law what we are seeing is that we are

imperfect and flawed and we don't want to admit it.

The One that brought all things into existence loves us, and sees our flawed state and the need to be lifted up out of the pit.
Sooner or later we see the darkness is too great and we will ask for His hand up.
The Almighty may have us do some things that are embarrassing to us, but rest assured The Lord is interested in our spiritual well being.
