BLESSINGS TO THOSE TAKING A WALK IN THE PARK,
We have all experienced stressors in our life living in a fallen world. I recall many a day in the law practice when there was yelling between insurance adjusters and me. There were even a few times where I would hit my fist against the wall in anger. When anger was really getting the best of me, I didn't want to hear what the opposition had to say, and would interrupt them and “sure tell them”. I left the office, and took a walk down to Mamie Eisenhower Park. One of this late summer day, I noticed that the swimming pool had already closed and the leaves had already begun to fall.
It left me with a sick feeling inside like I had missed that whole summer of my life.
In later years stepping aside to let Yeshua (Jesus) set the agenda, I found that insurance adjusters and attorneys in the opposition were for the most part just like me. Living with stress and looking for a fair way to resolve the disputes.
I found it a less stressful situation when I could start the conversation with, “How are you doing today?”
