Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness,
If we have been on this earth more than a few decades we begin seeing that the outward person is wasting away.
Better now
I know my dad better now
Than when he was still alive
His Charlie Chaplin stutter steps
Shuffling from couch
To kitchen to couch
Wiping spittle
From the corners
Of his mouth
With a Kleenex
His arms
Slightly raised from his side
For balance
A gunfighter getting ready to draw
The high pitched prednisone voice
And the incessant little unproductive cough
