BLESSINGS WITH THE GIFT OF THIS DAY,

Most of us wake up and start with an evaluation of the day based on what we see in the weather, or how we are personally feeling when we awake which also may be tied to what day of the week it is.

This being a Friday there are some that understand THANK GOD IT IS FRIDAY (TGIF) as having real meaning and a day for joy.

There are some in Judaism that will see this as Shabott, and others in Islam that will see this as Jum'ah, a day of Friday prayer. 

To some this may be the last day of a work week, and it may be the beginning of Shabbat.

Are we treating this day as a gift from The Almighty and not to be wasted on silly pursuits?  Maybe we need more of what I always leave out…thanksgiving for each day the Good Shepherd gives us.
