BLESSINGS TO THE FLOCK WALKING HUMBLY WITH GOD,
In early years of my walk of Faith (yes and even sometimes now), I find that training as a lawyer and training as a Believer appear in me to collide.
Most attorneys will tell you that their number one duty is to zealously represent their client within the bounds of Law, and most Brethren will tell you that to be an ambassador of Christ will always require we walk in humility.
In me the natural response to someone saying something wrong is to confront them and engage in an argument about what is Truth.
A Believer is more concerned in understanding the person they are having a conversation with and what is that person's reference point to begin the discussion.
“From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling all who call on Jesus Christ to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Cor. 5:16-21
